Table for HPL resistivity measurement re-commissioned in Pavia About 200 HPL foils produced and tested last week (yield of 70%) for Phoenix The full chain “production-test-cut-surface cleaning” resumed. CMS was involved in the work (Crotty). Contacts with GT re-established for the HPL surface cleaning and the gap production. Quotations are available. Baseline for gap production is Kodel. However the option of a share between Kodel and GT is being considered. KODEL has proved in the past to be capable of producing large amount of high quality gas gaps The presence of a group of motivated physicist to follow up the production and QC is an asset for the collaboration The interest of Phenix for the KODEL facility put some pressure on the group and it imply some duplication of efforts and infrastructures. This might results in an increase of the cost and in a more complicated schedule KODEL has proved in the past to be capable of producing large amount of high quality gas gaps The presence of a group of motivated physicist to follow up the production and QC is an asset for the collaboration The interest of Phenix for the KODEL facility put some pressure on the group and it imply some duplication of efforts and infrastructures.
