The NW People in Research Forum The North West People in Research Forum is a new organisation It works across the North West to support patient and public involvement and public engagement in health/social care research The Forum is run by an equal partnership of patients/public and people who work in health research It is jointly funded by the NHS NW and RDS NW

The Forum’s Vision and Aims Vision To contribute to the highest quality of health/social care research in the NW by promoting effective PPI and PE Aims Support researchers to involve and engage patients and the public in health/social care research Support patients and members of the public who are involved in research or wish to become involved Share learning about PPI and PE in research Act as a link between researchers and patients/public Raise awareness about health/social care research in the NW and publicise opportunities for involvement

Membership Membership is currently free and open to all interested people living and/or working in the NW We also welcome organisational members: NHS organisations, academic organisations, government agencies, PPI forums, advisory groups, charities, etc. Benefits of membership –Access to information on how to get involved or get patients/public involved –Updates on PPI/PE events and training in the NW –Training / information about training –Opportunities to get actively involved in the Forum
