Cannot set up one list and share across all projects at your institution Terms must be added one-by-one. Bulk upload of terms requires Artstor staff New values can be entered by an administrator only in SS Admin tools; catalogers cannot enter new values on the fly Lists can contain single values only For those using work records, Shared Shelf provided lists are provided at the work record level only Current List Functionality Lists can be shared across projects at your institution Terms can be added in bulk through Excel New values can be entered by catalogers that you designate. They can enter values within Shared Shelf (no admin access necessary) Lists can contain multiple values Shared Shelf provided lists remain available when cataloging work records, and they can also be used for cataloging display record fields

CLICK TO ADD SUBTITLE (Re)Organizing Your Controlled Lists in 1.2 SHARED SHELF PRESENTATION Migration of your existing lists Your controlled lists have all been converted to this new list format. Lists are now available across projects, but previously they were project specific. Because of this, each one of your controlled lists has been individually converted. For example, if you were using a Faculty requestor controlled list in three of your projects, you’ll see 3 different faculty requestor lists in Shared Shelf. 1.2 A video tutorial is available on Shared Shelf Help to show you how to consolidate your migrated controlled lists. Shelf Help User permissions The default setting for the 1.2 release allows all project admins to add terms to all the controlled lists used at your institution. This can be changed within the Shared Shelf Administrative Tools. Shared Shelf institutional administrators will see all lists.
