 The Algae is made in giant stainless steal containers. The researchers feed the algae sugar, then the algae gives of oil that can be harvested and then turned into fuel.

 The researchers use different strands of algae to make different types of oil.  Some algae's produce triglycerides such as those produced by soybeans.  Others produce a mix of hydrocarbons similar to light crude petroleum.

 Solar power is the conversion of sunlight into electricity, either directly using photovoltaic's (p v) or indirect using concentrated solar power (c s p) or to split water and create hydrogen fuel using techniques of artificial photosynthesis.

 The suns rays can be used for a lot of things.  The suns rays can be used for heating water and creating energy.
