Caveats Business advantage in open linking? No single “off-the-shelf” solution Citation to article linking is beautiful Cross-domain search results can be confusing and downright ugly Look before you leap – new options in view

Discussion Points Where do we build it? Catalog, portal, interoperable databases? Single source integrated systems or stand alone applications? Local or remotely hosted product? VIVA union list? VIVA academic portal? Open source or vendor software? VIVA/vendor development partnerships?
