MEET OUR FABULOUS 4 TH GRADE TEACHERS
SCHEDULE FREE breakfast for students from 6:30-7:20 Tardy bell 7:30 a.m. Please make sure you get your child to school on time Dismissal 2:30 p.m. Conference period 9:30-10:20 a.m.
ABSENCES Please send a written note of explanation whenever your child is absent Please bring a doctor’s note if your child was seen by a physician It is your child’s responsibility to ask for any missed assignments
DRESS CODE Please see handbook Students must wear shirt with collars Shirts must be tucked in College t-shirts, Spirit shirts, or any JISD t-shirts are allowed Holes in jeans are not allowed
TRANSPORTATION For your child’s safety, a written note must be sent to the teacher when your child will be going home in a different way than indicated on the transportation form. Without written notification, students must be sent home according to the transportation form.
ELECTRONICS AT SCHOOL Please do not allow your child to being electronics to school. Cell phones may not be used at school. If your child brings one to school, it must be turned off and left in their backpacks. If a cell phone is out or being used during school hours, the cell phone will be confiscated. Parents/Guardians will have to pick up cell phone from school.

SNACKS Students are allowed to bring a healthy snack Candy, soda, and items needing a spoon or fork are not good choices

READING IS KEY! Read for at least 20 minutes daily Practice summarizing what you read Practice fluency by having your child read aloud to you Look up words with which you are unfamiliar
MATH FACTS ARE IMPORTANT! Memorize multiplication facts Practice math facts every day Make flash cards
MATH TEXTBOOK Envision Math 2.0 Access from home Bounce Pages app for smart phones
HOMEWORK Reading Read for 20 minutes Complete a reading activity Checked daily Spelling Spelling words are given the first day of each week Complete a spelling activity each day Spelling City Math Practice math facts
