Did you Know…  The state of Georgia requires that all students in grades 1 – 8 take the CRCT in the following areas: Reading, Language Arts and Math.  All students in grades 3 – 8 must also take the CRCT in Science and Social Studies.

Did you Know…  There is a website that your child can log on to practice for the CRCT. He/she can practice at home or at the local public library.  You can also print study guides from the Georgia DOE website.

Before the Test 1. Prepare emotionally for the test 2. Eat a healthy nutritious breakfast 3. Get a good night’s sleep 4. Help your student relax. 5. Keep a normal routine

Test Tips  Listen to and read directions carefully  Listen to and read test items carefully  Set a pace that will allow time to complete the test  Bypass difficult items and return to them later

Test Tips  Make educated guesses rather than omitting items  Eliminate as many alternatives as possible before guessing  Remember, it is not how many a student completes but how many are correct

More Test Tips  Check the question number to be sure that the question number & answer number match when marking an answer  Check to be sure that the appropriate response was marked on the answer sheet  If time permits, go back and answer the questions skipped and check all answers
