Lasswade WW1 Battlefields Trip 100 years ago, thousands of Scots volunteered to join the army and fight in the First World War. They were given a small payment on joining…a gesture for their bravery and a bond from their country. This was called the ‘Kings Shilling’. We are looking for volunteers to join our own Battlefields Experience in September Pick up a letter from any History teacher and you will receive your very own ‘Kings Shilling’

The Scottish Poppy Appeal The S6 Charity Committee will be visiting classes during registration until 11 th November. Please donate generously for your poppy. Money donated goes to Poppyscotland which is the leading charity supporting the Armed Forces community in Scotland.

Science Club Plea! We need 4 or 5 science club volunteers to take part in an experiment on Tuesday lunchtime which will be filmed. If you are in our Edmodo group please reply to the post on there to let me know if you can come or not. If you are not on Edmodo and you would like to do the experiment then please just come along anyway. This will be from the start of lunch and will last all of lunchtime in room 124 on Tuesday the 3 rd of November THANK YOU!!!!

S1-6 Hockey club! Mr Sands and Miss Hume will be coaching a hockey club on Tuesday 3:45-5pm on the astro. Girls and boys, all ages and abilities welcome! Come along after school on Tuesday in your PE kit with shin guards and hockey sticks if you have them! Remember if you want to represent the school in tournaments you must attend trainings.
