29 How will Working Groups and Subcommittees benefit? Built in template available to all working groups and subcommittees Manage your own content (by designated users) – post your agenda, call details, meeting minutes Benefit from the tools on the website – Calendar, Discussion List - have one dedicated for your group or subcommittee

30 How will the Community benefit? Improved access to information – be able search & sort, easy & consistent navigation, a better user experience Increased interaction with the FGDC

Go to review the website and provide your feedback using ‘Provide Feedback’ link in the footer of the websitehttp://beta.fgdc.gov Feedback due by December 31 st Working Groups & Subcommittees – Designate a content manager(s) who can provide basic information for the website and if possible, maintain the WG & Subcommittee content Please provide that information by December 31 st

32 How can you join the website? Use the “join” link to signup for the website Provide your name, preferred username and and “Register”. That’s it!

33 Status & Timeline Site currently under development but relatively ready Not officially released yet to the public and hence not ready for distribution Content is still being migrated from existing website to new website Undergoing editorial review Awaiting your feedback Targeted official debut date – January 31 st, 2006
