Domestic Violence in Georgia Data Collected by MIA:  Number of a Restrictive Order that is primary source of data;  Name of victim;  Name of perpetrator;  Address, birth dates of both perpetrator and victim;  Form’s of violence;  Description of situation;  What decision was taken;  Address of shelter for a victim or of a rehabilitation center for a perpetrator;  Signature of responsible police officer. Statistical questionnaire “on registration on Domestic Violence Cases” adopted in 2007 by the MIA.

Domestic Violence in Georgia  No cases in 3 regions of Georgia;  There are 2 Shelters under control of the Ministry of Labour, Health & Social Security, and 4 under NGO;  The maximal capacity of NGO-run shelters is accommodation of 40 individuals at a time;  Duration of staying in shelter varies from 3 to 6 months.
