Second Grade Language Arts Blended Learning Ms. Julie E. Pickar

 Except for the time that we are meeting at the school’s facility, please be at your computer every day.  If you need to be absent due to illness or a family emergency please have your parent write me a note so that it can be excused.

 Please be aware that I will be watching out for student participation in live, online lessons so be sure to raise your hand and speak up!  If you have never been in a live online lesson before I will show you how you can raise your hand using your computer keyboard in the first lesson.

 Computer learning games are a part of your grade so please remember that you must go through all of them at least one time (if not more.)

 I am looking for you to have good quality interaction between yourself and other children in the class.  You will be asked to review another student’s work, so please keep in mind that you should do this in a kind and helpful way.

 Please turn your work on time unless you are absent. I will have to lower your grade if your work is turned in late.  It is my goal to give you feedback on your work within four days of the assignment’s due date.

 I am available to you after before school from 7:30am- 8:15am, and after school from 3:45pm-5:00pm Monday- Friday.  Please ask for help if you need it; I am happy to help you in any way that I can.  You can always reach me by or phone: phone: (800)
