v v v v v v v v President Woodrow Wilson Atlantic Ocean The United States was helping the Allied Powers by sending ships with weapons and food to Britain. It also helped Britain block food from going to Germany.

Germany began to use submarines to sink ships in the Atlantic Ocean.

But one day, they bombed the wrong ship! 1,198 people died. 128 of them were Americans!

Germany kept bombing Allied ships! They were trying to keep supplies from reaching Great Britain.

We sympathize with the Allies. We have compassion for them.

It’s time to join the Allies in this fight!

v v v v v v v v Atlantic Ocean America joined World War 1 in April of America sent thousands of soldiers to France to help the Allies. America sent battleships to help Britain fight the Allies. America sent supply ships to Europe.
