Recommendations for OIC Members 20  OIC Member Countries should take necessary steps to facilitate collective action by groups of farmers, promoting the establishment of the producer organizations including fostering the growth of effective producer organizations, associations, and cooperatives with the aim of and increasing the effectiveness of the existing ones.  Governments should facilitate disseminating technical and market information to smallholder farmers thereby enabling them to explore, learn, and carry out their own value chain analysis and develop their own marketing plans through participatory approaches.  Role of contracting farming should be promoted in helping small‐scale farmers to enter markets that are normally out of their reach, the meeting encouraged the member countries to facilitate contract farming for the smallholder farmers.

Recomendations for Member of OIC 21 In a World where agriculture for ensuring Food Security and Food Safety is becoming more important than armies for the total sovereignty of a country, Islamic countries must utilise their agricultural potential well: Producer organisations in the agricultural sector need to be developed and financially strengthened in COMCEC countries.
