Painter from Venice during the Renaissance Came from a family of Venetian painters Learned art in his father, Jacopo’s workshop Hieronymus- St. Jerome- in the Desert, c. 1455; one of his earliest paintings

Styles of Art Began using Quattrocento styles but matured into the progressive post- Giorgione Renaissance styles Worked with tempera in his early paintings Painted colorful, atmospheric landscapes
