Fortunate Feasts Chinese Hot Pot

History Chinese hot pot has been around for more than 1000 years. It started in Northern China and eventually became popular throughout all of China. It used to be popular during the cold months; however, it has become popular for almost any time.

Utensils and Equipment Chopsticks (have dedicated cooking pair, too) Table top stove (gas or electric) Stainless steel hot pot (needs to be big enough to hold liquid) Plates or bowls Hot pot scoop

Ingredients and Components Squid, Scallops, Hot Dogs, Sliced Pork, Sliced Beef, Fish Balls, Tofu, Green Vegetables, Taro Root, Turnips, Shrimp, Green Bean Noodle, Hot Sauce, Garlic Sauce, Soy Sauce Soup bases: Chicken, Sichuan hot & spicy, fish and cilantro, seafood
