A Day on the Farm Tessie Henry & Gayle Waycaster

Hank, the farmhand, needs your help! There are lots of chores on the farm and Hank isn’t sure what supplies he will need to get his work done. Use your animals to help Hank take care of the farm.

The first chore on Hank’s list is to gather the eggs. If 2 chickens laid 6 eggs each? How many eggs will Hank gather?

Hank will need to gather 12 eggs.

There are 4 horses to be fed. Each horse will get 2 flakes of hay. How many flakes of hay should Hank gather?

Hank will need 8 flakes of hay to feed 4 horses.

Hank needs to milk the cows. There are 3 cows on the farm. Each cow fills 2 jugs. How many jugs will be filled in all?

Hank will fill 6 jugs.

There are 6 pigs on the farm. Each pig eats 5 ears of corn each. How many ears of corn will Hank need to feed all of the pigs?

Hank will need 30 ears of corn.

Hank has to feed 7 goats 2 cups of grain each. How many cups of grain will Hank need to feed all of the goats?

Hank needs 14 cups of grain to feed 7 goats.
