De Pineda  Date: 1519  Country: Spain  Area Explored: Texas coast  Accomplishments:  Observed and mapped the coast of Texas

Narvaez  Date: 1527  Country: Spain  Area Explored: Area between S. Texas and N. Mexico  Accomplishments:  First Spaniard to enter Texas
