Formulation of the WEEE Strategy for Central America Launched on March 2013 at the PACE/ITU Central American Capacity Building Workshop on ESM of WEEE, organized in San Salvador, in partnership with CCAD, COMTELCA, SIGET and MARN-El Salvador. Project “Formulation of the WEEE Strategy for Central America Workshop gathered 86 participants from Environment, Health and Telecommunications Authorities of Central America, Academia, NGOs, and regional and extraregional private companies. BCRC-Caribbean participated. Project “Formulation of the WEEE Strategy for Central America Expert speakers, members of BCRC-El Salvador’s international network, shared their willingness to support the formulation and implementation of the WEEE strategy for Central America (e.g. USEPA, Ministry of Environment of Japan, Ministry of Trade of Brazil, StEP/UNU, SBRS, EMPA WEEE Project in Colombia, MIT, INTERPOL Environmental Crime Division, SIMS Recycling Solutions, Telefonica, DELL, etc.).
