3 Scope of what is covered BTWholesale data areas pertaining to nodes and services Also houses shared BTWholesale and Openreach data Has both open and secure data elements But… not the Openreach only datasets –These are subject to Openreach communications

4 Historical perspective Recognised the need to provide key data points for the 21CN nodes Data was initially made available specifically for those CPs who were interested in planning to interconnect Datasets were constructed and loaded on the Network Information Publication Principles (NIPP) portal Required bespoke access and an agreement via restrictive Non Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)

5 What’s changed? Have recognised and catered for the needs of non interconnecting CPs Have created an easier access path –(access via NIPP will remain until end April 08) Have created additional datasets to describe the specific availability of services, in terms of location and time Have enhanced names/descriptions of the datasets Have removed the restrictive NDA arrangements All can see basic service data BUT…. –Still need special arrangements to see the detailed network information

Open data: –Wholesale Broadband Connect: availability and roll out data –Ethernet availability –Multi-Service Interconnect Link availability (to be added) –IPstream connect availability (to be added) –Product retirements (To be constructed) Secure/encrypted data –Names and addresses of BT exchange and interconnect nodes –Network structure and mapping information

11 Process for gaining access to the secure data Must have registered account with BTwholesale.com customer zone Must have clearance as Cat A or Cat B CP from Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) Contact account or commercial manager to gain access and (if no I/x agreement) sign Non Disclosure Agreement BT will the data encryption key and grant access to this secure area of the site –not the same as the C21 secure area Once access is granted, this data can be obtained via the appropriate link from the open area
