What is a River Basin Management Plan? The plan addresses: groundwater wetlands rivers lakes/loughs transitional waters (eg estuaries) coastal waters It sets out objectives to be achieved in water bodies and the actions or measures required to improve their status. The plan is an integrated approach to protecting, improving and sustaining the water environment.
