Sugar › Sugar Cane, which is grown in the Tropics. › Sugar Beets, which are grown in temperate zones. Compressed Carbon Dioxide Water
Combine the Sugar, Baking Soda, Water, and Corn Syrup in a pot over Medium/High heat. Add the Citric Acid Crystals.
Then, heat the mixture to 300 degrees F, and add the flavoring of your choice.
Take the mixture out of the pot and allow it to cool on a plate, a silicone baking sheet that has been dusted with corn starch or powdered sugar, or a pan of some sort. Let it cool in small dollops, or in a thin sheet.
Once the mixture is cooled, and hardened. Smash it into small pieces.
Eat the candy, the sugar dissolves and the citric acid and baking soda combines, releasing CO2, and producing a fizzy sensation.
