THE TECHNOLOGY- THE PRINTING PRESS  Literally changed the world.  Prior to the printing press:  Books were copied by hand  Were limited to religious works (Bible)  After the printing press:  Books, pamphlets, and essays were printed with quickly  Started printing about non-religious subjects  Information could now be distributed with ease.
