Word 1:Excavate Def: To uncover by digging up Sent: Joey wanted to be an archeologist so he was constantly excavating the school area.
Word 2: Confiscate Def: To take property away for something illegal, safety, or for lack of payment Sent: Joey found a rare gold coin one day but it was confiscated by Mrs. Ruth.
Word 3:Turbulent / Turbulence Def: Being in a state of turmoil or wild disturbance Sent: Mrs. Ruth claimed she had seen the coin first. Joey and his classmates went into a turbulent rage over this unfairness.
Word 4: Leisure Def: A carefree time with no worries, a time that is not for work Sent: Mrs. Ruth dreamed of living a life of leisure after selling the rare coin.
Word 5: Deflect Def: To turn aside and change the path of Sent: Mrs. Ruth quickly had to start deflecting objects being thrown at her.
