RDA and DV General guidelines for someone on a 2000 calorie diet According to the serving size of the food your eating If you eat two servings of that food, you’ll have double all the nutrients and calories provided on the label Daily Values (DVs) are percentage representations of a nutrient in a food according to a 2000 calorie diet Diet should be 50-60% carbohydrates, 10-20% proteins and no more than 30% fat. No more than 8-10% of total calories should be Saturated Fats

Assignment Pair off and create an entire days worth of meals, including how much of each item you have. (Ex. Breakfast- 1 egg boiled, 2 pieces of wheat toast, 1 Tsp butter, 12 oz milk. Lunch- 2 slices bologna, 2 pieces white bread, 1 tsp mustard, 16 oz water, small bag of chips. Supper-8 oz lean steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, 16 oz sweet tea) Take about 5 minutes
