Analyzing Texts with RAFT R Role- What is the writer’s role? Who is the speaker of the piece? From what perspective is the text written? A Audience- Who did the writer intend to read the text? F Format- What format is the text? What genre is being used? T Topic- What is the subject of the piece?

RAFT FOR WRITERS  Role- What will be your role as the writer? What perspective will you use?  Audience- Specifically, who are you targeting as a reader of your piece?  Format- What writing format will you use?  Topic- What will you be writing about in your text?
