Evidence Based Medicine

What is Evidence Based Medicine? What qualifies as Evidence Based Medicine? Does Airrosti treat patients by utilizing an Evidence Based Approach? Where is the Research on Airrosti? – Remember, Airrosti is a disciplined provider group, not a technique! 2 Not a Clinical Trial

3 Critical components to Evidence Based Medicine 3 1. Evidence-based practice involves ongoing systematic review of the "science" supporting the diagnosis and treatment planning for a condition by clinicians and patients. Often, the science is incorporated into guidelines, or a "systematically developed statements to assist practitioner and patient decisions about appropriate health care for specific clinical circumstances. In regards to MSK Injuries, the current medical literature demonstrates that spending enough Time to properly diagnose a condition combined with a well delivered Manual Therapy and concurrent Active Care yields the best patient outcomes.

3 Critical components to Evidence Based Medicine 2.Evidence-based practice involves the integration of the science with the clinician's training and practice experience. Airrosti treatment Team members are trained to be exceptional at Manual Therapy and Active Care. Their practice experience is laser focused because they are only employing the best current research to fix MSK’s. – No passive modalities 4

3 Critical components to Evidence Based Medicine 5 3.Evidence-based practice involves the active participation of patients in making decisions about their care. Though foreboding in concept, the premise is simple: evidence-based decision-making requires that consumers comprehend their diagnosis and engage in a reasoned assessment of available treatment options and the benefits and risks associated with each. Excellent communication with our patients is one of our most important mastery principles. Every patient is educated on their condition prior to Treatment. BOO!

Summary of EBM 1.The current medical literature (research) states that spending more Time to get an accurate Diagnosis combined with a well delivered Manual Therapy and Active Care yields the best patient Outcomes. 2.Treatment delivered by a clinician with an expertise and clinical experience in the field (of MSK’s). 3.Getting the patient actively engaged in the clinical decision making process by properly educating them on their condition. 6

Is Airrosti Evidence Based?? Airrosti raises the bar for the definition of Evidence Based Medicine for MSK injuries!!!! BOOM! 7

Are WE ready for this? BOOM! 8
