Lesson Objectives How to select relevant information from a website How to present this information To learn about how developments in ICT might effect the future

The House of the Future All of our homes are filled with a vast amount of technology. Most of you have televisions, DVD players, computers, telephone answering machines, washing machines, central heating and burglar alarm systems. New advances are being made all the time and what is currently considered as belonging to science fiction may soon become the gadgets of tomorrow.

Starter (10 Mins) What would you like in your homes for the future? Think about the gadgets you have got and is there anything else you would like them to do? Can order food online

Task 1.Undertake some research to find out what the home of tomorrow may be like (Do not spend the whole lesson researching) 2. Write a report/presentation explaining what you think the house of the future will be like.

Plenary (10 Mins) Why do you think it is important to select the right information from a website? Do you think some of the information you have found out is realistic for the future?
