STRENGTHENING OF EXTENSION MACHINERY IPM project in cotton and basmati rice being implemented in partnership with Sir Rattan Tata Trust, Mumbai. 835 village scouts and 102 Cluster Supervisors engaged for dissemination of technology. Rs crores provided under State plan scheme for Development of KVKs for showcasing latest technologies. Strengthening of PAMETI for capacity building and Market Intelligence Use of PACS for supply of inputs as well as dissemination of information. Emphasis on farmers training, organized 40 district level, 318 block level and 5659 village level training camps. Pilot Project of use of ICT in agriculture. Awareness campaign amongst farmers for use of Kisan Call Centre calls of the farmers have been responded.

MAJOR ISSUES Flood relief (Free distribution of Seeds) to cover the additional cost of cultivation of Kharif Crops. Coverage of entire State under NFSM-wheat. Interest subvention for regular repayment of loan may be increased from 1% to 3%. Quantum of refinance by NABARD should be increased from 40% to 75%. Uniform rates of subsidy under different schemes.
