Public Service Announcement Step 1 – Find a good blueprint Find a Public Service Announcement on the internet to use as a blueprint. YOU MUST INCLUDE ALL OF THE INFORMATION IN THE POWERPOINT/LIST IN YOUR VIDEO. YOU MAY NOT ADD ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF THE FACILLIATOR. Chose a topic from the topic file. –Fire Procedure –Tornado –Lockdown –ETC

Step 2 - Storyboard 1.Do a STORYBOARD and plan how you will tape it. Follow directions on Storyboard.. Make sure you determine the camera angle and shot. (Please use students not in your group for clips in order to add variety to your video. 2. Make sure your WRITE OUT THE SCRIPT on your Storyboard. ( You may use the actual powerpoint/list as a script) 3. Get the Storyboard approved by facilitator before continuing with step 3. Get approval for each set of clips you will shoot at one time.

Videotaping and Editing 4.Videotape the first 3 clips. Start the camera early and end late. You will edit the clips in I-Movie. 5. Download the clips into I-Movie. 6. Edit the clips, add transitions special effects and any other components needed. 7. Continue on until the PSA is completed. Make it as short as possible. Cut out all unnecessary footage.

Finishing Your Video 1. Put a title at the beginning. Add all of your group’s first and last names. 2. Add credits at the end. 3. Go to share function and make it a Quicktime video.
