Workshop: Responsible Research and Innovation as a part of a regional Innovation eco-system 13th October 2015, Brussels Responsible Research and Innovation as a part of Alentejo ’ s RIS3

The SRTT - Regional Technology Transfer System  Has the capacity to create know-how and technological development to provide technological transfer, training and education of technical staff  Scientific - organized network of scientific and technological units of NUTSII – Alentejo  Technological - is the interface for technological innovation (cooperation I&DT – companies), for local development program  University and other Higher Education Institutions  Technological schools and Centers of Science and Technology  Other R&D Units  Institutions and Business areas

The PCTA - Parque de Ciência e Tecnologia do Alentejo (Cience and Technological Park), plays a pivotal role in attracting business and I&D and is an infrastructure intended to host and support I&DT promotion and transfer initiatives within the SRTT’s system Center for diversified skills, to be developed in the region, namely:  Energy and Mobility  Mechatronics  Information and Communication Technology (ICT)  Agri-Food Technology  Materials  Biotechnology  Environment/Sustainability

RIS3 Alentejo- based on Heritage & Environment Minerals, Natural and Environmental Resources Food and Forestry Heritage, Cultural and Creative Industries and Tourism Services Critical Tecnologies, Energy and Smart Mobility Social Economy

Governance Platform Technologies and Green Economy Platform Heritage, Culture and Society Platform Food and Forestry Operational Coordination CCDR Alentejo Regional Council of Innovation  Networking and animation of innovation actors  Management of the regional innovation system  Contribute to the identification of infrastructure projects and the definition of investments  Assessment and monitoring the expected results in the context of innovation and internationalization
