Ridgefield Football Presented By: Matt Kissell Project 8: Getting Involved in Your School December 13, 2010
Why join the football team? Students would enjoy joining the football team because of the team’s unity and the joy of having thousands of people watch you as you play football. You also get to hit people.
What the football team is all about The purpose of the football team is to give a activity to students that want to play football. It is a lot of fun because all of your friends do it and you get to hit people.
How to join the football team Students can join at any time before the season starts but it is required that they have 85 team training sessions by the start of the season. Therefore, students must join way before the actual season starts. The head coach is Coach Callahan in the athletics office. There is an equipment deposit and a laundry fee.
Membership requirements The practices take place on the Tiger Hollow field from 3:30 to 5:30 everyday after school. In order to be on the football team, you need a 2.5 gpa. All uniforms are provided by the school. Practices are mandatory unless you have a legitimate reason not to go which means you probably won’t be playing in the game that day.
