Double Mindedness “A double minded man is UNSTABLE in ALL his ways (James, 1:8).” Before you do anything you’ve got to get your mind right. Watch out! The enemy will try his best to divide your mind between God and the world. Double mindedness impairs your judgment Double mindedness Dries out your passion and love for God. Don’t ever allow your desire to contaminate you. A bad focus will produce a bad “pictures” “Let this MIND be in YOU, which was ALSO in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5).”

Emotions ”Let the evil of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous. The One who examines the thoughts and Emotions is a righteous God (Psalm 7:9,Holman Christian Standard Bible).” Your emotions affect your life and makes a difference in your walk with God. Your emotions can hinder your walk with God. You need to see yourself how God sees you. Don’t ever judge yourself by your circumstances.

Temptation “Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil…etc (Matthew 4:1-4).” Use the word of God to counter-act the temptation that the enemy brings your way. Don’t be fooled by what you see. ( What you see many not be what you need) “There hath no temptation taken you but such is common to man: but God is FAITHFUL, who will not suffer you to be tempted..-1 Corinthians 9:18 Sin is like a burning building, if you don’t get out in the early stages, you’ll suffocate!

Opposition “Thrice I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep…(2 Corinthians 11:25-26).” Areas of opposition: Spiritual Wickedness (Ephesians 6:12) The Elements of the World (Romans 12:2, I John 2:15-17) Family (Genesis 50:20/Joseph) Friends (2 Timothy 4:10 -12) Within Yourself (Romans 7:16-19) Remember When opposition comes your way: SHAKE IT OFF!!! Opposition is an Opportunity for God to show you what he can do.

Underestimating “I can do ALL things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:13).” When you underestimate yourself you are setting yourself up for failure. When you underestimate yourself you are putting limits on God.

Rumors “The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook. …The words of a talebearer (gossiper) are as wounds, and they go down to the innermost parts of the belly (Proverbs 18:4-8).” Sticks and Stones my break your bones, but WORDS can _______? Gossip is like wet leprosy, it affects not only you but those around you. Gossip destroys souls. (The word of God declares that life and death are in the power of the tongue.)

Secret Sin “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me (Psalm 66:18).” What is Secret Sin? Un-confessed sin. Things that are “done in the dark.” Things you don’t want God or others to know. Secret sin stifles growth, hinders obedience and causes one to lose focus of their destiny. Secret sin will sap your spiritual strength. “ Solution- Confess our sins (I John 1:9).

Remember The devil is always trying to get the saints of God to take an alternate route. Don’t do it!!! You are Destined for GREATNESS! You can never lead from the rear. Your destination was ordained before your creation. (Because it was ordained, the devil is trying to destroy your destiny.)
