Kingdom Principles and The 4 Types of Giving Adapted from "Why Isn't My Giving Working" by: Jesse Duplantis

Deuteronomy 29:9 AMP ARE YOU PROSPERING? 9 So keep the words of this covenant and obey them, so that you may prosper and be successful in everything that you do. ARE YOU PROSPERING?

God Wants YOU to Prosper! 3 John 2 (Amp) 2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

I always hear “the poor will always be among you.” Here is the verse! 6 Now when Jesus was [back] in Bethany, at the home of Simon the leper, 7 a woman came to Him with an alabaster vial of very expensive perfume and she poured it on Jesus’ head as He reclined at the table. 8 But when the disciples saw it they were indignant and angry, saying, “Why all this waste [of money]? 9 For this perfume might have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor.” 10 But Jesus, aware [of the malice] of this [remark], said to them, “Why are you bothering the woman? She has done a good thing to Me. 11 For you always have the poor with YOU; but YOU will not always have Me.

Are you "the POOR" or the "YOU" in that verse? DECIDE!

4 Types of Giving in the Bible 1. Tithe - Motivation is simple Obedience 2. First Fruits - Motivation is Generosity 3. Alms Giving - Motivation is Compassion 4. Seed Giving - Motivation is Faith and Reward ***These should never be changed by man.***

Tithe - Motivation is Obedience Given - To God (Your Church) Leviticus 27:30 (AMP) 30 And all the tithe (tenth part) of the land, whether the seed of the land or the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s; it is holy to the Lord. *The Tithe is 10% of ALL that you harvest.*

Do Not Rob God! Malachi 3:8-12 (AMP) 8 “Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings [you have withheld]. 9 You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, this whole nation! 10 Bring all the tithes (the tenth) into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you [so great] a blessing until there is no more room to receive it. 11 Then I will rebuke the devourer for your sake and he will not destroy the fruits of the ground, nor will your vine in the field drop its grapes [before harvest],” says the Lord of hosts. 12 “All nations shall call you happy and blessed, for you shall be a land of delight,” says the Lord of hosts.

Matthew 23:2 (AMP) 23 “Woe to you, [self-righteous] scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you give a tenth (tithe) of your mint and dill and cumin [focusing on minor matters], and have neglected the weightier [more important moral and spiritual] provisions of the Law: justice and mercy and faithfulness; but these are the [primary] things you ought to have done without neglecting the others.

Economy - Proof Your Life! When you Tithe and someone asks you: "How are you doing in this horrible economy?" You are able to say...... "I am Not participating! Thank you! Because, My God Rebukes the Devourer for MY sake! My Needs are Supplied!"

How do we mess this up? 1) By not Tithing! DON'T LISTEN TO THE LIE! You CANNOT afford NOT to Tithe! 2) Changing where we Tithe. Your tithe goes to His Storehouse! (His Church) 3) Living by mans economy principles instead of Kingdom Principles!!!!

Instead! Deuteronomy 28:3-7 (AMP) 7 “The Lord will cause the enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you; they will come out against you one way, but flee before you seven ways. 8 The Lord will command the blessing upon you in your storehouses and in all that you undertake, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God gives you.

First Fruits - Motivation Generosity Given - to Church or a Ministry Proverbs 3:9-10 (AMP) 9 Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the first fruits of all your crops (income); 10 Then your barns will be abundantly filled and your vats will overflow with new wine. *First Fruits is giving the sum of the 1st of your increase to God.*

Given only once per raise/increase First Fruits giving shows God you are not in love with Money, but instead in love with Him. Therefore, He can trust you with MORE! It shows your gratitude for the increase. It expresses your love for His Word! 16 If the first portion [of dough offered as the first fruits] is holy, so is the whole batch; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. *First Fruits giving makes your whole income holy!

Alms - Motivation Compassion Given - to those in need Here's where most of us mess up! 1) DON'T TURN YOUR TITHES INTO ALMS! *OR THE DEVOURER IS NOT REBUKED FOR YOUR SAKE!*

Rate of return for Alms is 1:1 And He will pay back what he has given. **You are going to get back what you give.** (without tithing too, your storehouse is not full and the devourer can take what you get back!)

2) ALMS IS A SECRET. SSHHH!! 6 “Be [very] careful not to do your good deeds publicly, to be seen by men; otherwise you will have no reward [prepared and awaiting you] with your Father who is in heaven. 2 “So whenever you give to the poor and do acts of kindness, do not blow a trumpet before you [to advertise it], as the hypocrites do [like actors acting out a role] in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be honored and recognized and praised by men. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, they [already] have their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the poor and do acts of kindness, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing [give in complete secrecy], 4 so that your charitable acts will be done in secret; and your Father who sees [what is done] in secret will reward you.

3) God Remembers Alms 3 About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, “Cornelius!” 4 And when he observed him, he was afraid, and said, “What is it, lord?” So he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have come up for a memorial before God.

Seed - Motivation: Faith & Reward Given - to Sowers of the Word 3 “Listen! A sower went out to sow seed; 4 and as he was sowing, some seed fell by the road, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Other seed fell on rocks where there was not much soil; and immediately a plant sprang up [a]because the soil had no depth. 6 And when the sun came up, the plant was scorched; and because it had no root, it dried up and withered away. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, and the thorns came up and choked it, and it yielded no grain. 8 And other seed fell into good soil, and as the plants grew and increased, they yielded a crop and produced thirty, sixty, and a hundred times [as much as had been sown].”

Principles of Seed Sowing Seed giving helps fulfill Jesus command to take the Gospel to all nations. Mark 16:15 (AMP) 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Seed giving has a 30, 60 or 100 fold rate of return.

Always ask Holy Spirit how much seed to sow and be obedient to that amount. Always name your seed before you sow it. (You can't scatter a bunch of unknown seeds in the soil and expect a great harvest!) Always sow your seed on good ground. Never substitute seed giving for tithing or the devourer has claim to your return.

Summary! If you make the Tithe Alms, God will not open the windows of heaven. He no longer rebukes the devourer for your sake. If you give First Fruits, God will trust you with more. Alms should be given in secret to protect the dignity of Gods people. If you sow Seed without Tithing the devourer can take all of your return. God’s order does not need our input. We cannot rearrange what He has put in place. After all He does not change!

Follow these precepts and... Deuteronomy 28:8 NKJV says 8 “The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you. 9 “The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.
