Men who lived in Wales These portraits can lead to different activities. Just a few suggestions for a History lesson. 1. Are these portraits (the original ones) primary or secondary sources? Why? Is any of them different from the others? Why? 2. How did the male clothes and hair styles evolve? 3. Have you studied any events or historic processes connected to these men? 4. Do you think these people are representative of the people who lived in Wales in the past? Why or why not? 5. Why do you think these people got painted portraits?

This presentation has been made for educational purposes. All the photos of the portraits where taken by me at the National Museum of Cardiff on 11th November It was one of the cultural visits of my two-week MECD professional stay in UK. The portraits of Gawen Goodman, Sir Thomas Hammer, Robert Howell Vaughan and Sir Henry de la Beche are in the public domain.
