The Bermuda Triangle By Jeremy G.
Introduction Do you know where at least one hundred-seventy planes and ships have disappeared? The one and only, Bermuda Triangle, also called Devil’s Triangle. The Bermuda Triangle is an area off of the southeastern coast of Florida. Luckily, the Bermuda Triangle hasn’t taken down all transportation devices drove or flown near the it.
Background knowledge The Bermuda Triangle isn’t just a little triangle in the middle of the ocean, it actually covers about 440,000 square miles (1,140,000 square kilometers). The main climate in the Bermuda Triangle is windy and sunny and is approximately sixty to one hundred degrees Fahrenheit. Although the Bermuda Triangle is called a triangle, it doesn’t actually have an exact boundary
First Theory No one is sure about how the Bermuda Triangle actually formed, but some people do have some thoughts about it. Scientists believe that an alien comet 11,000 years ago crashed right where the Bermuda triangle is! Can you believe that? But they’re still not sure because the bottom of the ocean is tens of thousands of feet deep, so the comet couldn’t still be affecting the water to be taking down the planes and ships.
Theory 2 Another theory some scientists think about the Bermuda Triangle is that underneath the surface of the Atlantic Ocean, there’s pockets filled with methane gas that’s waiting to come to the surface. This could happen through seismic activity of underwater landslides. Scientists think that that’s what’s causing the aircrafts and ships crashing into the ocean. But is the eruption big enough to cause the disasters?
Theory 3 Scientists also think that the reason aircrafts, ships, etc. are getting taken out of the sky and water is because the government is testing out reverse-engineering on alien technology they’ve found. And it’s located right under where the Bermuda Triangle is supposed to be. But they’re not sure if it’s strong enough to be able to take down planes, helicopters, and ships.
My Theory My theory about the Bermuda Triangle is that the methane gas under it is waiting to come up through the surface through seismic activity do to underwater landslides. If the methane gas gets released, the water density in that area reduces and therefore the water can no longer keep the ships afloat. When these underwater landslides happen, they start to take down planes, ships, and many transportation devices that fly or float over the Bermuda.
