Ancient India By Ryan 6C

Introduction Ancient India is one of the worlds most ancient civilizations. It was started in BC. It has a growing town and a lot of citizens (total: 5 million). India is a civilization that has irrigation systems for its farm and on of the most advanced houses in that time.

Architecture in Ancient India PastConnectionPresent Long ago India all houses already used bricks that are baked in fire wood. The architecture gets better in India for the rich people but for the poor people it gets worse because it has less protection. India has a better architecture because it was influenced by Britain, Portuguese, French and Dutch people who colonized India around the century. Rich people will use high quality bricks and cement for their houses but poor people will have a small and bad quality house made out of wood and bamboo. Long ago people in India already has rooms like today. Most houses has a courtyard, a couple of rooms, a well for a water source and a toilet to support the people’s needs. It is also hygienic because it is private and no other people can use it. The quality of rooms and toilets in a house becomes more worse and bad. Today houses needs to share toilets and there are small amounts of rooms in one house. This happens because again more citizens born in India and there are less space for them to have a complete house especially if they are poor so they have small houses and shares toilets. Today India is becoming worse because the houses is small and it has a maximum of two rooms in a house and usually they use one toilet for sharing with other people. It is less hygienic because other people can use it.

Architecture in Ancient India It has a simple and square like shape and most buildings looks similar. Some lucky people have a better quality of homes but for the unlucky ones they have a uglier house. This happens because business people in India could build a good house but for the poor ones they cannot afford one and have to build their own house that is ‘not good’. Now the ‘good’ houses has a modern architectural look and the buildings has many different shapes. For the ‘Bad” houses it still look square and they will often look the same. Implication for architecture: In the future the architecture in India will become better and the culture that the ancient people used will not be used again because of the development of technology in the future. The rooms will be bigger and the quality of the toilet will be better. The technology will not only make the house look better but it will also make the duration of the building quicker.

Culture of Ancient India Long ago ALL Indians are Hindu they believed in Gods. Hinduism long ago is like a daily routine. The religious activities in India becomes more worse because they are affected by Buddhas and now hindus does not recognize hindu as a daily routine. This happens because the coming of Buddha missionaries that happen in the century. Now still there are many hindus but there are also Buddhas. Now some hindus are affected by buddhas. Now hindus also don’t recognize hindu as a daily routine instead they just pray. Long ago the Indian people use their hands to create pottery and statues. They painted it manually and slowly. The system to make the potteries become better because nowadays they use molds and computers to make the pottery. This happens because the coming of technology that reaches India and people starts to use it. Now Indians use computers to print and make the colours. Some potteries even use molds to create the shape of the pottery.

Culture of Ancient India Long ago the children played with toy carts and toy animals made out of clay with a string and play it around. The games that children play becomes even advanced because now children use ipads to play their game. Now children can play plastic toys and mostly technological toys (ipads). Long ago the people sacrificed people to make the gods happy. It becomes better because there are no more sacrifices and people gets more human rights. Now there are no more sacrifices but people pray and worship the gods more to make the gods happy. Implication of culture: I think in the future, Indian tradition can be lost and gone because more and more technologies are developed in India. Potteries, toys, religion will become more advanced in the coming years. As we know, nowadays there are a lot of technologies that are invented such as digital printer, ipads, etc. With the help of these technologies, we can grow and make India an advanced country but is also sacrifices the culture of ancient India.

Economy of Ancient India People in Ancient India needs to trade and barter things to get things. Usually they exchange their farming goods with other things like furnitures, etc. The way of Indian people buy and sell things is getting more advanced and better because India created their own currency and there are less trading happening. It happens because of the Indus Valley civilization in India. They think that it is better to create a currency rather than just trading because it can make it more fare. India has a universal currency that is used to buy and sell things in India. It is used throughout the country and even outside the country. Long ago people who are poor and not lucky are formed into slaves and they are forced to do things like building for the king. India becomes better a little bit because there are no slavery in India though there is still much poverty. This happens because the government doesn’t want any more slaves in India because they think it is not fair for citizens. In India there is a big issue of poverty. There are many people that don’t have jobs and end up selling flowers and newspaper in the streets.

Economy of Ancient India Long ago each house has its own water source (well) to get the water for their drinking, toilet, bath, etc. The way people get water becomes harder in the modern time because each ‘poor’ house doesn’t always have a water source and there is a limited amount of wells. This happens because of the growing population that happens quickly and the government does not really care about it. Also India is quite close to a desert called Thar desert which why it is hard to find water in the wells. Now most houses gets even more difficulties because the poor houses doesn’t have any water source in the house like the rich houses and there is a very limited amount of wells in the area. Implication of economy: In the future the economy in India will become better and India will be the world's major trading port. There will be no more poverty and everyone will get a job. The stocks and currency of India can grow better and it will be a good money.

Agriculture in India Ancient India was one of the first civilizations (after mesopotamia) to have an irrigation system in their plantation and farms. They developed streams for the animals. The amount and quality of the plants harvested increases because in modern India they take care of the plants more. This happens because the government of India wants to emphasize the agriculture in India so they support and give the equipments to them. Now India’s agricultural system is good because they can produce and export plants and vegetables in a good quality and amount. They now use water hoses to feed the plants water. Long ago people harvest crops manually by using their hands. It took a long time for them to harvest it. The technology used to harvest crops become more advanced because now most farmers use tractors to harvest. This happens also because of the government wanting India’s agriculture to grow so they support farmers using tractors. Now people in India use tractors to harvest the crops. It makes it quicker and with better quality. Implication of agriculture: In the future the farming will become even better because of the technology available. The time of harvesting will be quicker and the growing of plants will become quicker. I believe India would export more plants rather than importing.
