Types of Data

What is data? Data can be collected for almost anything you want to find out about. Data means information.

The types of data Data can be Quantitative or Qualitative Quantitative refers to ‘quantity’, or amount. Qualitative refers to ‘quality’, or some other description.

Quantitative Data Quantitative data can be split up into two categories: Continuous data can take any value in a continuous sliding scale. Discrete data must take specific values.

Types of Data Collection The way data is collected is also important Primary data is data collected by yourself. Secondary data is data collected by others. What are some of the advantages and disadvantages of these two methods?
