Project Work Franz Liszt Made by: Voronina Elena Form 11 «B» ( )

Franz Liszt was born October 22, 1811, in the village of Raiding in Sopron County, Kingdom of Hungary. His father played the piano violin and guitar and knew Haydn, Hummel and Beethoven personally. At age six, Franz began listening attentively (внимательно) to his father's piano playing as well as to show an interest in both sacred and gypsy (церковная и цыганская) music.

His father began teaching Franz the piano at age seven and Franz began composing in an elementary manner when he was eight. He appeared ( появлявшийся) in concerts at Sopron and Poison (present day Bratislava) in October and November 1820 at age 9. After these concerts, a group of Hungarian magnates offered (предлагать) to finance Franz's musical education abroad.

Liszt became renowned (известный) throughout Europe during the 19th century. He was said by his contemporaries (современники) to have been the most technically advanced (передовой) pianist of his age and perhaps (возможно) the greatest pianist of all time. He was also an important and influential (влиятельный) composer, a notable(известный) piano teacher, a conductor who contributed (внести) significantly (значительный) to the modern development of the art. A memorial tablet in Bratislava at building of Leopold de Pauli Palace telling about his concert in this building in 1820 at age

Liszt supported (поддерживать) the idea of programmer music in some of his works– that is music intended to evoke (предназначенный, чтобы вызвать) extra-musical ideas. By contrast, absolute music(a radical new idea in the 19th century world of music) stands for itself and is intended (предназначенный) to be appreciated (оценить without any particular (деталь) reference (ссылка) to the outside world. The first 12 symphonic poems were composed in the decade 1848–1858 one other,«From the Cradle to the Grave», followed in Liszt's intent (намерение), according to MacDonald in the New Crove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, was for these single-movement works "to display (показать) the traditional logic of symphonic thought." Liszt in 1848

On June 24, 1872, the composer and conductor Karl Muller-Hartung founded an " Orchestra School " at Weimar. Although Liszt and Müller-Hartung were on friendly terms, Liszt took no active part in that foundation (фонд). The "Orchestra school" later developed to a conservatory which still exists and is now called «Liszt School of Music Weimar». Franz Liszt Fantasizing at the Piano (1840)

On July 2, 1881, Liszt had fallen (падать) down the stairs (лестница)of the Hotel in Weimar. Though friends and colleagues had noted swelling (отметили опухоль) in Liszt's feet and legs when he had arrived in Weimar the previous month, Liszt had up to this point been in reasonably good health, and his body retained (сохранить) the slimness (стройность) and suppleness (податливость) of earlier years. The accident, which immobilized (остановить) him for eight weeks, changed this. Liszt at the piano, an engraving (гравюра) based on a photograph by Louis Held, Weimar, 1885.
