Questar Gas Company Customer Meeting Sept. 15, 2014 Stonebridge Country Club West Valley City, Utah Making lives better with natural gas

2

Supply Readiness Transportation Customers depend on their supplier to deliver gas to QGC city gate –Supplier doesn’t nominate enough gas for you, or –Gas nominated on your behalf doesn’t show up at the city gate In either case, QGC is not obligated to cover shortfall –If QGC covers shortfall, you will have an imbalance for the day –If QGC doesn’t cover shortfall »This will result in a supply interruption »Interruption penalties will apply

Interruption Readiness If you have interruptible capacity, please be prepared for an interruption –Two hours notice –Geographic interruption possible –Partial interruption possible Failure to interrupt when called upon to do so will result in penalties

Interruption Penalties $40 per Decatherm Plus highest gas cost on the system Plus SNG rate from IS rate schedule ($.18 per dth) If a customer fails to interrupt –Beginning July 1 of following year, firm rates will apply for three years for volumes over firm allowed amount

Hourly Firm Calculation Example Example: 24 hour a day load Daily Firm Amount: 240 dth Hourly Firm Amount 240/24=10 dth Eight hour interruption of interruptible load –Allowed firm amount during interruption –10 dth*8hrs=80 dth

Hourly Firm Calculation Example If you typically burn your firm amount in less than 24 hours –You will need to increase your firm amount so that your hourly firm available covers your load Example –12 hour requirement of 240 dth or 20 dth/hr Daily firm requirement should be dth per day divided by 12 hours =20 dth per hour ) During an eight hour curtailment you will be allowed 160 dth (8 hrs * 20 dth/hr = 160dth)

Phone System Changes POTS line are going away (Plain old telephone service) VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) systems do not communicate as well with Questar’s data system Questar continues to have increased problems communicating through existing POTS lines

Phone System Changes As required, Questar Gas will be replacing POTS lines with cellular phone communications Customer will no longer need to provide POTS lines QGC will pay for cellular phone lines Customer will need to provide A/C power

A/C Power Requirement Weather proof box –Such as Hoffman A10086CHNF –3 to 6 feet away from natural gas meter
