Learning Targets 1.Determine the appropriate combination of assessments to use throughout your project. 2.Know how to use a matching matrix to select appropriate assessments for learning targets. 3.Understand concepts and characteristics of high- quality test questions. 4.Know how to use a test planning tool as a guide to creating balanced tests that reflect the weighting in the teaching of the unit or part of the unit.

In Addition......understand the features and benefits of using an on-line tool for the construction and scoring of quizzes and tests.

Teacher-Made Test: Definition “Simply defined, a teacher-made test is an evaluation tool designed by a teacher for his/her students that can be used at any point during a unit of study. Often the most instructionally relevant tests are those created by a teacher for a specific group of students to emphasize information important to the concepts taught” (Childs,1989).
