3 Personal Goals I want to lose 50lbs by the Beginning of February 2011 I want to finish my associates degree by Fall of 2012 I want to purchase my first home by June, 2013

I want to lose 50lbs by the Beginning of February 2011 I will start counting “points” based on the Weight Watchers program. I will attend weekly meetings. I will increase activity to at least 3 days a week. I will keep track of everything I eat. I will not eat out of boredom.

Overcoming some barriers that may prevent me from reaching my goal Barriers Thanksgiving Christmas Hanging out with Friends and family Lunch at work My sweet tooth How to Overcome Not deprive myself on eating, but to keep track of EVERYTHING I eat. Bringing my lunch from home will help in making a healthier choice so that I will not be tempted to eat fast food.

My Reward for meeting my weight loss goal…

I want to finish school by fall 2012 I will attend school as many semesters as possible. I will take 9 credits or more each semester. I will ask for help as needed. I will study every day as much as possible. Meet with an academic advisor once every 3 months to make sure I am on the right path. I will finish my assignments on time.

Barriers that might keep me from reaching my goal Life changing events; marriage, birth, or tragedy. My two-year old My job schedule.

How I will overcome these barriers I will stay focused on my goal Pick classes that work around my work schedule. Confirm help with my son before adding too many classes. Should a life changing event happen, I will deal with it and pick back up where I left off.

My reward for meeting my graduation deadline…

I want to buy a house by June 2013 I will repair some items on my credit I will decide where I want to purchase a home I will save half of my tax returns each year towards a down payment I will decide what I am looking for in a home- 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, garage, central air etc. I will work overtime if asked I will regulate my spending I will meet with a financial planner

Some barriers that might interfere with my goal Emergencies, such as; car breaks down, and medical emergencies. Unforeseen expenses with my son

Overcoming those barriers There is really no way to overcome some of life’s unforeseen circumstances, but I will not give up and keep saving until I get there!!!!!

My reward to myself when I finally get my new house….
