RESPONSE #1 Beauty is in sights, sounds, and yourself. He is trying to tell you that beauty should be cherished everywhere, like everything you can see and touch. Indians love nature, Pueblos especially. Nature is beautiful to him. He likes nature sights, sounds, and himself. I think that you can find beauty anywhere and in any way. I think that everything can be beautiful if they try.

Response #2 “Beauty” by E Yeh Shure is trying to tell us that everyone and everything has beauty and that it’s shown in many ways. Beauty is shown in many ways, such as seeing or hearing it. The author says that “Beauty is seen in the sunlight, the trees, the birds, corn growing, and people working.” The author also says “Beauty is heard in the night, wind sighing, rain falling, or a singer chanting.” This poem makes me feel happy and peaceful because of all the imagery. It uses lots of descriptive words. Beauty is shown in many ways and everyone has beauty.

RESPONSE #3 The poem was affected by his background because of how he grew up. Indians usually farmed and danced to worship their gods. They would also be one with nature and thought all nature is beautiful. The poem was effected by the author’s background because of the culture when he was young.

Response #4 The author is saying that beauty is everywhere you look and go you see beauty. The author is saying you can hear, see, and in your spirit you will always have beauty in you. The author sees beauty in the sunlight, in the trees, in the birds, and the corn growing. You hear beauty by the wind sighing, rain falling, or a singer chanting. Beauty is in yourself, good deeds, happy thoughts and in your dreams and even in your rest and in your work. The author gives examples on what beauty really is.

Response #5 In the poem “Beauty” by E Yeh Shure is about how beauty is everywhere and can be found in anything. E Yeh Shure is trying to tell the readers that you can turn anything beautiful. He probably wants everyone else to see things like that too and have a good attitude. In the poem the author, E Yeh Shure is telling us beauty is in everything and is everywhere.

Response #6 I think that beauty is all the good and happy things inside a person. In the poem “Beauty” by E Yeh Shure, the author is trying to tell us that beauty is what is inside of someone because in the poem he states “Beauty is in yourself.” “Beauty is in yourself. Good deeds, happy thoughts.” I think that the author is correct when he states beauty is found in good deeds. The author’s message is that beauty is what is on the inside, not the outside. I really like this poem because it states the true meaning of beauty. In the poem, “Beauty”, the author is telling us that beauty is found on the inside, not on the outside. Many people think the opposite but this poem stats the true meaning of beauty.

Response #7 The poem Beauty by E Yeh Shure is about the beauty of nature and the beauty in yourself. My evidence is that it is talking about sunlight and trees and birds, wind, rain and singers chanting. That is the nature part then they talk about how people are so beautiful for example it says that beauty is in yourself and I think that it means that your soul is beautiful and you yourself is beautiful. The poem “Beauty” by E Yeh Shure is about the beauty in nature and the beauty in yourself. That is my thought.

RESPONSE #8 Beauty to me is smelling fantastic smells, hearing awesome sound, and seeing wonderful sight. The author, E Yeh Shure, of Beauty, is trying to tell us that beauty can be found anywhere. The author is trying to tell us that beauty can be found anywhere because in the poem he states that beauty is seen in the sunlight. Also, Shure states that beauty is heard in the night. One last piece of evidence the author states is that beauty is in yourself when you are happy or even sleeping. The author’s message in this poem is that beauty can be found anywhere. This poem is a very good one. I relate to the author that beauty can be found anywhere. I also think that this poem can be very inspirational because it says that beauty ccan be found anywhere. Overall, this poem is great.

Response #9 The author is trying to tell us that beauty is all around us. The author states that beauty is seen, heard, and in yourself.
