Presentation transcript:

By Logan, Cyndi, Kimberly, and Brooklynn

 The turbine operates on a simple principal  The energy of the wind turns two or three propeller blades around  The turbines are mounted on a tower to capture the most energy.  At a 100 feet or more above ground, they can take advantage of the faster and less turbulent wind

 Wind turbines can be used to produce electricity for a single home or building.  They can also be connected to an electricity grid for more widespread electricity distribution

 A 1.8 MW could produce about 4,700,000 kWh of electricity each year.

 The tallest was 205 meters high.  The longest capacity has a rated of 7.85 MW and a overall height of 198m.  The most productive was at Ronland wind farm in Denmark which was 63.2 GWh.  The most highest situated was made by DeWind and located in Andres around 4,100 meters.
