R.A.H! In order to become better readers… students must READ! Read At Home 3rd graders should read at least 20 minutes each evening! Students will be able to take AR tests soon. More information will come home asap!
20 What’s for Homework??? Homework consists of reading for 20 minutes, completing the reading log with 2-3 interesting words, a weekly reading menu item and usually a math activity page.
If your student has a question or needs help with a math problem, let them call Mrs. Hall.
(State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) Preparation for the STAAR test is ongoing and involves making explicit connections between good assessment-taking practices and good general learning practices. We strongly believe that the STAAR is not an event, but a way for students to demonstrate their learning. For that reason, we teach and reinforce all levels of processing skills in our classrooms. Our curriculum provides numerous preparation opportunities. We expect all of our students to pass both the Math and Reading STAAR assessments.
