National Geospatial Advisory Committee 2014 Guidance Geospatial Education and Workforce Development The FGDC seeks continuing feedback and input from the NGAC on the issues of geospatial education and workforce development, including the following:  Identify opportunities to leverage ongoing professional geospatial-related certification initiatives by the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI), the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), and the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) for the benefit of the larger US geospatial enterprise.  Provide input as needed on the implementation of the Administration’s STEM strategic plan (government-wide, or within specific agencies, as appropriate) 12/15/2015

National Geospatial Advisory Committee 2014 Subcommittee Summary Subcommittee Meetings: April 23, June 17, Sept 16 Professional Certification  June 2014 NGAC Meeting – Discussion of ongoing geospatial community dialogue on professional certification activities – presentation by Darryl Murdock (USGIF) Standard Occupation Classification (SOC Codes)  June 2014 NGAC Meeting – Discussion with Pamela Frugoli (DOL) on SOC revision process  NGAC agreed on following action: ACTION: The FGDC and the NGAC will provide input to the Department of Labor (DOL) by July 21 on the next round of revisions to the DOL Standard Occupational Classifications.  FGDC submitted NGAC input to DOL on July 21 12/15/2015
