Class Rule #3 3.Treat everyone and everything with respect at all times, no matter what!

Homework Folder You must have your homework folder every day in class.

Need a pencil? If you need a pencil, please get one from the white cabinet before class starts. Use the dry erase marker to write your name on the cabinet where your pencil is located. Erase your name when you return your pencil. If you do not return the pencil, conduct points will be deducted.

Absent? If you are absent, YOU are responsible for getting the work you missed. Follow this procedure: 1.Go to Make-up Work station (purple box) 2.Get the Missed Work sheet from the correct date that you missed. example: if you miss on Aug. 10, check the “10” folder 3.You have two days for each day you miss to complete the work. 4.Turn the completed work into the black tray in front of the Make-up station box. Be sure to include: First Last Name, date, assignment title if needed.

Turn In Trays Each class period has an assigned tray to turn in their work. This is the ONLY place to turn in regular work. Make-up work DOES NOT go in this tray. –1 st Block(1/2 period) – yellow tray –2 nd Block(3/4 period) – pink tray –3 rd Block (5/7 period) – blue tray –4 th Block (8/9 period) – white tray

Lost or Forgotten Assignments If you lose or forget your assignment: Before class, go to my teacher website and print another copy of the assignment –The library is open before school so you can print another copy.

Folder Work Each 9 weeks, students will be given a packet of worksheets to review skills from previous years. Students are to work on the packet when they finish regular class work. At progress time (4.5 weeks), students should have the 3 pages complete. Each side of a paper is considered a page. A grade will be given on completion of those pages. The entire packet is due by the end of the 9 weeks. It stays in the classroom, until 2 weeks prior to due date. It can then be taken home to complete.

Checking out books The books on the brown bookcase may be checked out by students. Students will need to fill out the checkout sheet on the side of the bookcase.

Sciencesaurus/Textbooks Students will not be issued textbooks this school year. Students will be able to use a book with an assigned number throughout the year. –The book with your assigned number is the book you are to use.

Restroom Breaks We will take restroom breaks during the science block. You may go to the restroom at another time with teacher permission but try to wait until the class restroom break. Students will line up by the appropriate restroom and go in 3 at a time. Any student not using the restroom will line up in front of the lockers across from the restrooms.

Moving as a class Anytime we are moving to another location as a class: Students line up in a single file line on the wall with the Greek mural. We walk on the right, single file, at level 0

Classroom Jobs Greeter (2) – greets students at the door, welcomes visitors to class. Record keeper (2) - records attendance & tardies, adds new students to roster, & records conduct as directed. Class manager (2) – checks to see that everyone is doing their jobs, monitors conduct for class at restroom break, gets supplies when needed, checks to make sure all Sciencesaurus/Textbooks are returned. Absent work manager (2) – completes an absent sheet and attaches assignments for any absent student, places absent work in correct folder at make-up station.

Classroom Jobs Teacher Assistant (2) – pass out graded work, remind students about absent work when they return, answer the phone if needed. Custodian (2) – make sure all supplies are put away, trash/paper is off floor. Time monitor (2) – keep track of time to allow for enough time to clean up before period ends. Bell Work manager (1) – writes the bell work in the calendar each day.
