How can we use student cellphones as communicative classroom tools?

THE PHONE AS A COMMUNICATION PROP 1.

ACTIVITY: GETTING TO KNOW YOU (AKA GETTING YOUR PHONE BACK) -Please introduce yourself to the person beside you and answer the following questions together:

1.What do you think of Apple as a company? What about Google? 2.Do you think it is important to have the latest in technology? How often do you upgrade your technology? 3.Are you happy with your phone? Why? 4.How often do you check your phone? What is the longest time it is away from your body (more than an arm’s reach)? ACTIVITY: GETTING TO KNOW YOU (AKA GETTING YOUR PHONE BACK)

-Please introduce yourself to the person beside you and answer the following questions together: 1.Only one person from each pair can stand up at a time. 2.Each person has only three chances to bring a phone to their partner. 3.Once you have seen all the phones, you are allowed to ask your partner only YES/NO Questions to help you locate their phones. Now stand up and find your partner’s phone! ACTIVITY: GETTING TO KNOW YOU (AKA GETTING YOUR PHONE BACK) BUT…
