IATA’s Mission “To represent and serve the airline industry”

Why do we need a new CSN/ATM system?  Steady increase of traffic  Increasing delays  Increasing service costs  Increasing operating costs In summary: A global transparent efficient ATM system is needed to replace the present Air Navigation System.

What is the new CNS/ATM system ?  “Satellite based?”  ADS B, C : ATN : VDL Mode 2, 3, 4 : Voice versus Data-link: Automation etc. However, it is not only about technology CNS/ATM is also a concept

The new CNS/ATM c oncept :  enables airlines to enjoy: Safe Operation On Time Performance  provides required capacity for at least next two decades  accommodates requested routes by the introduction of new technology and operational procedures.
