Your poop is made of fiber and food you eat. It is also made of water, bacteria, salt, and bile. Bile is made by your liver.

Poop goes down your large intestine and small intestines. It gets pushed out by the rhythmic pushing of the muscles. This movement is called peristalsis.

Intestine Happenings Intestines are at least 25 feet in an adult. Horses intestines are about 89 feet long. The colon is a part of the intestines. The colon gobbles bits of the remaining food. While doing that, they create gases and chemicals.

Poop starts out as liquid poop but then the water gets squeezed out by the intestines. Semisolid waste clumps together to form individual feces. When poop fills the rectum, it sends messages to your brain to tell you you have to go to the bathroom.

Why it is brown or other colors? Brown, green, and yellow are normal colors for poop [you have to remember food doesn’t always come out the same color that it came in.] White or clay colored poop is a sign of liver disease. Black or maroon colored poop are a poop that means there is bleeding in your digestive track.

Bacteria make indole and skatole while they eat and those chemicals smell.

Pooping normally means pooping 3 times a day or 1 time in three days. Normal is different for different people.

Constipation is when your poop comes out hard and dry. If you are not pooping like you normally do, you’re probably constipated.

Diarrhea Diarrhea can be started with a virus or bacteria you’re not use to, extreme nervousness, if you don’t wash your hands, or if you’re on a certain medication. Instead of food coming back up from your stomach, it is digested already in your intestines, and dying to get through your system!

You need to drink lots of water if you have diarrhea. If not, you will become dehydrated, [losing too much water], and having to go to the hospital. People have died from diarrhea !

IN ONE DAY YOU FART ABOUT TIMES. A QUARTER OF YOUR FARTS ARE ODORLESS, AND A QUARTER OF YOUR FARTS ARE ODORFUL. ISN’T THAT JUST WONDERFUL!

FARTS ARE ESCAPING GASES. BUT DIFFERENT KINDS OF GASES ESCAPE FROM DIFFERENT PLACES. YOU SWALLOW GASES THEN YOUR BODY MAKES THE FARTS! FARTS, CONT.

Recipe For Gas EAT ANY OF THE FOLLOWING: BRUSSEL SPROUTS, CABBAGE, ONIONS, TURKEY, AND BEANS. THEN WATCH OUT!

Interesting Facts Did you know sometimes food can be in your body for up to 2 days before it comes out-as poop!

EVEN MORE INTERESTING FACTS!!!! Did you know that Scott Toilet Paper Company marketed the first rolled toilet paper in 1879? Before then, The United States used corn cobs, Sears catalogs, mussel shells, newspaper, leaves and sand. Snow and tundra moss were used by early Eskimos. Hawaiians used coconut shells in Hawaii. All of these people used all these items as toilet paper. This is all they had to use.

In your lifetime, the digestive system may handle up to 50 tons! That would be 100,000 pounds. And that equals up to 1,333 4 th graders! That is a lot of 4 th graders!

Not a lot of people had indoor toilets until this century. Before then, they used out houses or they would use holes in the ground!

Most people are toilet trained by the time they are 4 years old. Some people even try to toilet train their own parrots!
