1. Communicate and Network The First Samurai A good leader communicates and networks in a concerted and effective manner. He/She is aware of the strengths and weaknesses of the followers, and knows where to find the right resources...

2. Offer New Solutions The Second Samurai A good leader is innovative and creative - and is able to take a long-term vision. He/she offers new solutions to problems that come up frequently...

3. Build Consensus The Third Samurai A good leader creates an environment where followers can offer their opinions. He/she accepts these opinions and builds consensus among the followers...

4. Action-oriented The Fourth Samurai A good leader is able to convert goals and objectives to step-by-step actions that can satisfy the goals. He/she is able to make best use of existing resources to develop action plans and implement them...

5. Opportunity Creating The Fifth Samurai A good leader is able to create an environment where opportunities are created, and met by the aspirations of the followers...

6. Marketing The Sixth Samurai A good leader is able to market ideas and visions to the group. He/she can understand and sell the capacities and capabilities to the larger society...

7. Goal-Oriented and Persistent The Seventh Samurai A good leader is, of course, goal-oriented (developed in partnership with the followers) - and is persistent in achieving the goals, by encouraging and support action...

If the followers lead, the leaders will follow... It is the relationships between the leader and his/her followers that finally ensures success.
